First Look At PAUL STANLEY's IBANEZ Guitars (Video) In 1976, Ibanez approached KISS frontman Paul Stanley to collaborate on a signature guitar that would become the instrument with which he would be forever associated. Now, for the first time since 1996, Paul and Ibanez have reunited to reissue three exciting new versions of the original Paul Stanley Signature Model.Guitar World stopped by the Ibanez stand at this past weekend's NAMM show in Anaheim, California to get a first look at Stanley's new guitars. Check out the footage below."Renewing my collaboration with Ibanez feels like going home to where it all started," commented Stanley. "The guitars we created remain iconic and we will celebrate them and more as we move forward into our future together.""We're very excited to be partnering again with Paul Stanley," said Ibanez artist relations manager Mike Taft. "It’s been an amazing year for both Paul and the band, including the release of his best-selling autobiography, the band's long-overdue induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, and the ongoing world tour to commemorate their 40th anniversary together. I couldn't think of a better time for Paul to reunite with Ibanez. Along with their distinctive styling, these historic instruments have proven themselves on albums and in concert worldwide, where their sound has made them sought after by guitarists for decades."

SHADOWS FALL's MATT BACHAND To Play Bass For New Band Featuring Ex-MEGADETH, SCAR THE MARTYR Members The new band featuring former MEGADETH members Shawn Drover (drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar), alongside ex-SCAR THE MARTYR singer Henry Derek Bonner, has recruited SHADOWS FALL guitarist Matt Bachand (pictured) as its bass player. The new group is scheduled to begin recording its debut CD this coming weekend at a studio in Hartford, Connecticut for a tentative late 2015 release via an as-yet-undisclosed record label.Says Drover: "I have known Matt for 15 years now and he is a great musician, songwriter, singer and all around GREAT person."To say I'm jacked up about having Matt with us is an understatement!"All the songs have shaped up nicely and there is a lot of metal dynamics on these songs, overall. Some of them are flat-out thrash-speed metal, others are uptempo, but I can assure you it is all 100% HEAVY METAL."Those who know me know I have always been an advocate for the more aggressive metal stuff, so if you're expecting anything to the contrary on this record, you would be dead wrong."Anyways, Matt Bachand will be in the studio with me [in Hartford], as he lives not too far from the studio, as does the producer/engineer who will be recording drum tracks with me."As I write this I cannot reveal WHO he is yet, nor the record company we are signing with, etc. That's for the press release, which you will all see very soon. Believe me, this dude is a full on METAL PRODUCER/ENGINEER (I would never have anybody but that to do this kind of music)."During an interview with SiriusXM's Jose Mangin on the December 17, 2014 edition of Liquid Metal's "666-LIVE" call-in show, Broderick stated about how his new group came together: "Through talking with Shawn Drover, we've talked about how we had all this material that was never gonna get released, all these killer, heavy riffs that we had written and stuff, and so we just decided, 'Hey, why don't we put the stuff out? Why don't we form a band and get out these killer riffs, just to see what people think?' So we formed a band, we're working with a killer singer — he's awesome — and we've got record labels that have made some good offers on the table, and we're really excited about where that's gonna go."Regarding whether the musical ideas that are being used in the new band are things that were originally presented to MEGADETH and were turned down or if they are brand new compositions, Chris said: "Some of them were presented, but then some of them also… I'd be, like, 'Oh, this isn't appropriate for MEGADETH, their sound.' I have a tendency to write very complex stuff, and so I've gotta watch it when I write and submit for MEGADETH under that kind of… I wanna make sure it's not too complex and too crazy and all over the place. So those are the things that I would have held back."Bonner released a statement in April 2014 claiming that he was leaving SCAR THE MARTYR "due to personal differences, artistic direction and a slew of business decisions that I cannot simply ignore." He added: "I've given it a year of my life and now it's time to move on. I will continue making music in many forms."

LINKIN PARK's CHESTER BENNINGTON Shares Post-Surgery Photos LINKIN PARK was forced to cancel the remaining dates on its U.S. tour after singer Chester Bennington suffered a leg injury requiring immediate medical attention. Bennington said, "I need to take the proper time to assess the severity of my injury and apologize for any disappointment this has caused. I look forward to seeing you all again soon." Bennington was later seen walking with crutches at a show in Indianapolis, and he has since undergone surgery to treat the problem, as he revealed in the photos below via his official Twitter account. The Pulse Of Radio asked Bennington a while back if he does anything special to get himself in shape for the road. "I really try to work out a lot," he said. "I try to sing a lot. I don't like to go on tour and be kind of cold, I like to go out kind of feeling a little worn out already, so I really try to push my body a little bit more intensely the few days before the first show. By the time I get to, like, my second or third show on a tour is when I start to feel like, 'Okay, now I've got the rhythm.' So I decided that if I do that before I leave, if I try to get myself a little exhausted before I go, then I'm usually pretty good."Bennington also performed at the show in Indianapolis using a scooter to support his leg.Although the vocalist did not specify the extent of his injury, he reportedly broke an ankle.Fans can seek refunds at the point of purchase for the canceled shows.LINKIN PARK was touring in support of its sixth studio album, "The Hunting Party", which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart when it came out last June.
